I don't give 5 reviews easily, everything has to be perfect and Blue Rose accomplished that. Nice, clean environment with a diverse but not overcrowded menu. Nice cocktail selection. We had the Walnut Shrimp appetizer that was fabulous and split the traditional Filet Minion which they served as two complete meals and was exceptionally prepared and seasoned. Our server, Magna was gracious and extremely efficient (along with perfect English if that's important to you). No hesitation about returning here!

Last night we went to the Blue Rose Bistro. We were greeted by a very attentive staff. I started with the Beet and Mezcal Margarita and also had the Cucumber Margarita. We had the Walnut shrimp which were delicious..and who doesn't like deviled Eggs..Theirs were artistic and Delicious. I had the Cucumber soup which is served cold and very frothy so it's very light and refreshing. Its served with a garnish of Avocado and Cucumber with a EVOO Drizzle. I will start by saying..I do not like filet as a steak..But theirs was delicious. I Got the Bleu Cheese with Shrimp. The Bleu Cheese made it richer and more flavourful. The shrimp were Delicious almost crisp..and seasond so perfect.. it was a perfect dinner. The Owner came over to introduce herself which is always nice. Perfect right from the beginning; we were greeted warmly, seated promptly, drinks arrived exactly as ordered and they were beautifully presented...Pink Lady and a Cucumber Margarita. The serving staff were lovely and the food was good. The Beef Filet Grilled Cheese Sandwich was very tasty if a bit messy. If the quality of the thinly sliced filet is any indication of their steak items, I'm in! Fries were small, crispy and well-seasoned. The Shrimp in Lettuce Cups was very tasty but also messy...odd lettuce leaves for such a dish as they didn't 'fold' well; it worked better chopped and enjoyed as a salad. Both above orders, two Pink Ladies and a Coffee Americana cost 670 pesos tip.

Outstanding steak - and service! The Angela's Favorite filet with sun-dried tomates and grilled vegetables was excellent. The parmesan fries were cooked more at my request and rounded out this entre. We both felt these were some of the best cuts of steak we have had in Mexico. The desserts come from a local French pastry show, we split the walnut pie with ice cream and should have ordered one for each of us! The Blue Rose also offers a number of craft cocktails, I.e. Kiwi Margarita or Beet/Mezqual Margarita. Excellent service from both Juan and Juan Pablo. They are both very attentive and made sure we had a great experiencia. ¡Gracias!

Our first time visiting Blue Rose but we will be back. The steaks and sides were cooked perfectly and we both loved the sauces we had. 0ur waitress was very friendly and attentive. To top it off, the owner came by and gave our pug a huge rib which she managed to carry all the way home! Everything about the evening was perfect!

Another fabulous dinner at Blue Rose! Wonderful fresh savory dishes, super friendly and attentive service, and convenient location between Ajijic and San Juan Cosala Hot Springs Spa! What a treat, 5-Stars, and can't wait to go back!

Lives up to the hype. Great service. Great atmosphere. Great food. Blue Rose is a small, intimate steakhouse on the western fringes of Ajijic. Tastefully decorated and featuring indoor and outdoor seating, it's long been considered on of the best steak joints in the area. And it lives up to its reputation... Service is super friendly and helpful, and the food is frankly excellent. Pro-Tip: The Devilled Eggs are off the chain.

This is a wonderful restaurant to eat at. We always sit outdoors in the back. We have always had consistently good food. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a very nice dinner.
